Kate Serrano:
Dominican Light in the Bronx
DESCRIPTION: “I don't believe revival is separate from us. It lives in our gathering, in the ways we return to one another. When I photographed the Dominican Day Parade, I felt how the act of celebrating becomes a practice of remembering, of refusing erasure. In that space, past and future collapse into something shared, something that insists on being seen. These photographs are guided by that insistence, a small offering to the continuities that keep us alive.”
