DESCRIPTION: “In this zine, I share writings and moments with my dad, my grandmother, and friends. I've been thinking a lot about labor, and what is asked of us and our bodies. I dream of my people being valued for more than what they can produce.

María Levin is an artist and animator from Nicaragua based in NYC. They enjoy utilizing tactile approaches, overlapping textures and personal archives to highlight the humanity behind their work. María’s work draws inspiration from Latin/Afro-futurist media, electronic music, biking and a love for people of all kinds.
Sofia Batres is a Peruvian-Guatemalan interdisciplinary artist based in NYC. Rooted in production design, film, and grassroots organizing, her work explores ever-shifting definitions of home. Through mixed-media narratives incorporating archival footage, textiles, and found objects, she envisions decolonial futures where multiple worlds can coexist.
